What Do You Think About Manx: Spanx For Men?

If you’re not at all familiar with what Spanx are let me first of all fill you in. Spanx were designed by Sara Blakely about 10 years ago. They’re basically a patented type of tight that firm and shape the bottom and thighs. Since the original Spanx were thought up the women’s range has expanded and includes everything from the original version to a full body suit. Recently the company released a men’s range. The before and after pictures are certainly impressive.
The range features 2 undershirts designed to firm the chest, nip the waist and support the lower back. It also features a pair of underwear that reduces the chance of chaffing at the ground and also ‘cups’ ‘lifts’ and supports. At £78 a pop for the undershirts they’re a bit pricey and unless you were really self conscious about any bulges recking your silhouette, I don’t think you’d be likely to drop that sort of money on shape wear. Which leads me onto my next question…
Do men really need shape wear?
If the hourglass is the coveted body shape for women then broad shoulders and narrow waist line is the body shape most coveted by men. The reviews of Spanx for men have been quite positive, but I’m still not so sure.

I’d love to hear what you think about Manx?

This is a weird concept but if women can wear shapewear why shouldn’t men?
I must admit, if the first time I’d seen my bf naked he’d took of his Manx to reveal a flabby beer gut I’d have been pretty gutted! But it’s no more ‘false advertising’ than push-up bras or bum-firming pants!
Have to agree with blahblahbecky, I would be gutted too, if I met a guy who I thought looked good but then revealed he had a flabby gut… but then again, it’s the same as push up bras and corsets so I guess if we didn’t approve of this it would be a tad hypocritical…. I’m unsure about how many men would actually go for this.
