Banke kindly volunteered to be a part of the street style series after I chatted to her on a Blog Trends Twitter chat. She has her own blog over at glitterswalloffame which you definitely should check out. I loved her trainers and use of colour. She also gets a special mention for taking her pictures on her mobile which I championed a few posts back. Anyway enjoy!
What’s your name and where are you from?
My name is Banke and I’m from London
Talk us through what you’re wearing
I’m wearing a denim shirt from H&M, ponte trousers from Forever21 and sneaker wedges from Ash.
How would you describe your style?
My style is very high street but I tend to throw in a few luxury bits every now and then, like my sneakers cost me quite a bit compared to what I would normally pay for shoes. I’m a big time bargain chic and I try to source pieces that suit my shape because I am quite busty. In summary, I would say I’m a casual classic chic; black tank, blue jeans and a pair of heels, I wear heels 98% of the time to give my outfit a bit of an umph and I’m also more comfortable in heels than flats.
High Street Honey or Designer Diva?
High street, but I do invest in key designer pieces every now and then, but never clothes. Designers don’t make clothes for people over DD bust size so I’m a bit out of luck with that.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from various places and people and I also come up with my own ideas and make some of my own stuff. I spend quite a lot of time going through past and recent collections from designers especially ones that are not overly popular.

What makes your style your own, what’s your signature look?
Style is hard to define because it’s very individual, my signature look would be as I mentioned, a black tank top, blue skinny jeans and black heels. I would re-vamp in various ways with accessories and change the heels every now and then. I also have a thing for jackets/blazers. Mainly, I think the way you wear your clothes and the attitude that goes with it is what defines your style.
What one piece are you coveting at the moment?
I really can’t choose, but if I was going to go for one thing, it would be something I can wear for the season and use over and over again. So i’ll go for these ankle boots from Donald J Pliner http://www.donaldjpliner.com/product/GINGER,2841,182.htm. I love ankle boots, they look great on me.

What are the 3 most important pieces in your wardrobe?
Three most important or three most loved? Hmmmm… I’ll mix this up… Most important are
1.black tank top (H&M has the best for high street buys),
2.blue jeans and
3. most loved is my Louis Vuitton bag which is the most expensive luxury I’ve ever purchased and I think I would be my most loved/important item for a very long time.
What one piece of fashion advice would you give to readers?
Don’t just follow trends, invest in versatile pieces you know you would be loving and using over many seasons.

Thank you Arash. Lots of hugs xx
She definitely owns her style and I always love colour! I agree about investing in versatile pieces … which works for me. And liked that she chooses to invest in designer pieces that aren’t clothing! Hats off for the mobile uploads!

Yeah in the past when I think about designer splurges, a lot of mine have been in accessories too.
