If you were ever a fan of the movie Back II The Future you’ll remember this scene. Since the day that movie was released kids have been been trying to get hold of those exact Nike trainers with zero success. You see they were made solely for the movie, until now…. On September 8th Nike held a press conference to announce the release of the 2011 Nike Mag. A replica of the trainers used in the the movie complete with LED illuminated soles and logo. The only downside is they don’t have power laces just yet, but that didn’t stop the announcement whipping up the internet into a frenzy.
The shoes are definitely going to be on any sneaker freak’s wish list, however if you want to try and get a pair then you’re going to have to part with at least a couple of grand. The trainers are only being sold by Nike through ebay, for 10 days Nike will auction 150 pairs of the trainers. But if it makes you feel any better, all the proceeds from the sales of the trainers are going to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

So if you have a couple of grand spare then why not head on over to ebay and get bidding!
I’d love to hear what you think of them.

thanks for clarifying this for me Arahs, had seen a couple of viral ads and had no clue what it was for. Absolutely adore this ad you post here, takes me back to my childhood, I loved the first 2 movies, the third one not so much, but 1 and 2 were my favourites when I was soooo tiny hehehhe. I’m no fan of Nike but kudos to them for going for such a fantastic project, I think it’s brilliant and wish I could bid for pair…. I guess I will just have to wait to 2015 to get a pair with power laces
Yeah there was loads of stuff floating about the net when they were announced. The advert is awesome, really well produced. The first two are my favourite as well, I’m not feeling the wild west one.
Ohhhh wow!!! How cool are those? I absolutely love the Back to the Future films
But I wont be spending a few grand on those xx
Yeah I know they’re more like a collectors item than something you’d wear. I’d be a bit dubious about the LED lights too, what if you stepped in a puddle?
How great that they are exclusive only 150 pairs.. I think they’re fantastic actually, but no I have a few more priorities (to tend to) with my shopping budget. haha!
Loved Back to the future as well!
Ha Ha, I love them too but ….££££
