The double breasted suit made a bit of a disappearance after the 80’s and power dressing fell out of favour. However, this season the double breasted suit is officially back. The new ‘db’s are a lot slimmer than the old 80’s look resulting in a neater crossover. The double breasted suit is perfect for those with a larger frame as the stronger shoulders and swopping lapels keep bigger physiques in proportion. Forget what you thought, the double breasted suit is back, now’s the time to invest!

I love double breasted suits, got my hands on one earlier this year and have been wearing it ever since… I already had a few DB peacoats but the suit is a whole different affair, it is definitely a power suit.

My boyfriend’s got great style and I could totally see him in a double breasted suit.. Luckily we’re going suit shopping in the next week so maybe I can get him to try one out
