We’re back for the second part of the Autumn Winter 2010 trend guide for men, if you didn’t manage to catch the first part you can find it here. This second part will focus on the accessories and micro trends for this season and will give you a good guide so you know what key looks to invest in for the up and coming Autumn. Personally I love the fact there was a lot of headwear around this season and I may have to invest in some good winter boots, anyway with out further a do here is part 2.
Trouser tuck
Many of this season’s shows featured trousers tucked into boots such as Burberry, Gautier and Louis Vuitton, a nod to the military trend perhaps? Regardless it’s the only way to wear boots this winter.

Brooches
Featured on the catwalks by Paul Smith, YSL and Etro, brooches are ‘the’ accessory this autumn/winter. You maybe wondering how the hell to pull off a brooch and thats the thing about them, they’re versatile, you can wear them on blazers, jackets, scarves and can get one to meet whatever style you have from vintage to funky.

Velvet
Another fabric reinventing itself this season velvet suits and jackets and suits could be seen in collections by Dolce, Galliano and Etro. If you want to try out this trend but don’t want to go for a full on look, try opting for just a velvet lapel.

Headwear
If you’re like me and you love headwear then this is the season for you. There was a lot of headwear on the catwalk this autumn/winter from the likes of Dolce with flat caps and Galliano, D&G with fur trimmed trapper hats and Lanvin with bandanas. Take your pick!

Key Colours
Stick to darker colours this season, Gucci had a lot of jewel colours as did Bottega there were also some chocolate and caramel hues seen by Louis Vuitton and Dries Van Noton and Prada. Who said colour wasn’t an option for autumn/winter? If you’re bored of grey and black try giving some of these tones a go.

Excellent. Both parts are brilliant. Would’ve never noticed the brooch trend without this. Shame velvet is back, but I’ll be out for a hat a brooch on payday.
